HOUSE FOR SALE

Hello friends,

My house is for sale. I am leaving town and there is not reason to keep the house in here. I am not going to live in Las Vegas and if ever live in this country again I will be living in New York or LA.

I do know I have spoken about this subject in the pass but I have had an incident that I wanted to share with all of you.

I go and offer for my house and after a couple of contra offers and so we signed a pre-contract. My wife and me were very happy because as far as we were concern our house was sold and we could dedicate to the next important thing in our agenda that is transportation of all our belongings to Bilbao.

Four days later we received a call from our agent telling us that the buyer was not going to have enough money to pay all the expenses of the transaction and she was asking for as to give her four thousand dollars towards her closing costs. Fair enough taking on account that our house has gained lots of money in these years but for us it was auregious.

I am going to be completely frank we felt cheated. Not so much because the deal was not finish but because they could have told us from the very beginning that they did not thing they were going to be able to make it. Suddenly what it looked like a clean deal it was not anymore.

We spoke to many people about it and it seemed that it is a normal practise to do things like that in this country. In a highly developed capitalist society there is always time to make a better deal and the word of the man change for as long the deal would get better for one of the parts. Sad because at the end of the day it means that the society gets more dehumanised. The human word has less and less value.
