Hi people,
Hey, we had an interview with the Wall Street Journal. The brief of the whole thing was that there was this girl, Kelly that is investigating about how clowns are doing now days in relationship of how they used to do. I think it is a nice idea but very difficult to talk about it because first it would have been necessary to talk for a while what means clown?
In our days and for us clown is more a way of acting. It is way for you as an actor to go to the stage and play your part in the play.
It is a way, if you want, to go against realism. After many years, especially in America and Russia of many people trying to be very realistic some of us like much more everything that it is not real but it entertain us.
In away the real thing is not the problem it is the boring thing. Sometimes people make it so normal and realistic that it is like being on the street but with a script so if it is going to be like that I prefer to be on the street than going into the theatre.
Anyway, we spoke to her for a while and of course for her all the things related to the business of Cirque it was even more important than what we thing about our work.
It is very nice to go the four of us to an interview, Toby the one that knows, Petra the one that does not know anything, Stephan the terrorist and me the one that think that knows but nobody understand because I do not speak good English. So it must be really sperpentic to hold a conversation with the four of us. Well, with a little bit o sense of humour I am sure it is good fun.
Then we saw the journalist sitting in a horrible sit. And we thought all that charm that we displayed with that girl and then they sit her in the most horrible sits in the whole auditorium.
Still I like Calli very much. She is the publicist of Zumanity and she deserves lots of credit for how the show is doing because she works like mad, all the time non-stop.
Have fun.
