FOURTH OF JULY

Hello everybody;

I have something to tell you about patriotism. I do not like patriotism. I am living in a very patriotic country. Probably this is a very good quality but as far as I am concern I do not think it is a great thing and nobody should fell proud of being very patriotic.

There are many kinds of patriotism. I arrive to this conclusion while I watch on the TV how people celebrate their Fourth of July. I see people waving the flags, I see people getting drunk and saying patriotic things like; I love my country or I will kill my country or we are a free country and we are the best or I want to have sex with you… no, that is not patriotic is just someone really horny.

I look at the faces of the people that say these things and they are the same one in every country in the world. They are people who are scared of their little lives and people who do not know anything else and therefore it is the best. They love their neighbours and they like very much the place where they live but that is not enough because every body thinks the same about the places where they live. I think that to think like “my country is the best” is racist and exclusivist and very dangerous.
If you cannot see how great it is for everybody to live where they live and to do what they do not matter if you understand it or not then you are patriotic in a bad way.

I love the place where I am from I want to live there as much as I can because there is a history and many things that make me fell well when I am there but I do not like to be patriotic about it.

I have to say that I fell I really do not understand. How much can you love something? A country? It is difficult to love someone and to love a country? That is bullshit. It is people trying to be better than their neighbours. There is not a logical explanation.

Nobody should love their country as much as they should love human race. People are crazy because they are not ready to take responsibility with the fact that is humans.
